A very special mother and teacher who inspired so many people in her life.

Heather, wife of John, died peacefully at the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend, Wales on the 18th of January aged 92. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Thank you to all participants and donors for the recent Walk Around Southerndown (Sep 25) that was led by Heather's 4 daughters. We raised a further 340 pounds. Diolch yn fawr!

Hilda Winslade née Sinfield was a kind loving caring and devoted Wife, Mum, Nanna and friend. She was born in Oldham Lancashire in 1933. Married the love of her life professional rugby player Charles “Charlie” Winslade in 1952. Had two very wanted children Vanessa & Nicola to who she was the best mum ever. She moved to Bridgend Wales in 1987 with her family however sadly lost the love of her life Charlie in 1993 to Cancer after a short illness. She was the world bestest Nanna to her two Grandchi

Daphne suffered from vascular dementia since 2010 which meant that she ended up having to leave her own home and only had limited memories of her husband Frank Sutton, daughter Noel-Ann and grandchildren Josh, Karen, David and Isaac. Instead of buying flowers for her funeral on 22/10/19 we would like people to donate to this charity. Together we can fight dementia.

Robert was a loving family man, husband to Tracey, Father to Matthew and Craig.
He was a generous man who would think of others before himself.
Robert was passionate about football and was an avid Celtic FC and Plymouth Argyle FC supporter.
Robert enjoyed fishing and travelling.
He was known to support sporting projects in the area, especially those involving young people.
Robert was well known in the locality and was a skilled plumber.
Robert had the ability to make people laugh and smil

Bob was very much a people person, clever and witty he always made us smile. His gregarious nature meant that he made friends wherever he went.
As a loving husband, father and grandad Bob was always there for his daughter and his grandchildren, always encouraging and instilling the confidence and skills to enable us to enjoy and move independently through life.
He was a skilled and ingenious engineer bringing his immense practical skills and curiosity to every aspect of life.

Roy was a loving husband, father and granddad.He was a skilled and talented engineer; latterly a Toolroom Foreman at Landrover in Solihull. His passions were cycling and music, particularly jazz music, and he loved to travel. He made many friends in the pursuit of these hobbies. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce, his children, David and Sue, son-in-law, Nigel and grandchildren, Sam, Miles and Eliza. Tony Wilkie’s' life was filled with love and laughter, he always had a cheeky smile and a friendly word to say, and was dearly adored and loved by his 5 grandchildren, 3 children and loving wife.
As you know he bravely battled vascular dementia and for over 12 years was cared for by his devoted wife and family. Sadly he has passed away, and whilst he is now at peace, he is greatly missed by all, taken by this cruel and, all too common illness.

Audrey, affectionately known to her family as 'Granary' will be missed immensely by her family and all who knew her.
As happens all too often, Audrey was always an extremely strong minded lady full of character, who sadly developed dementia in the last year of her life.
We can think of no better cause to support than BRACE, who are dedicated to researching treatment for this debilitating illness, that has effected our family so deeply.

Michael was an inspirational Guyanese playwright who will be remembered for telling stories about bold Caribbean characters living their lives, often through adversity, in Britain in the 20th Century. He was passionate about, and lived for, his writing. He touched many people's lives. He will be remembered for his talent, wit, perception and passion.

Irene Kirtlan was an amazing Mum, Gran Great Gran. She didn't have dementia but supported BRACE after her beloved husband, Norman, died of vascular dementia. Her hope was that there could be a cure for this devastating disease.

Les was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will remain in our hearts forever. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed his life. He was a clever man, quick witted and great fun to be around. It was a privelege to have had him in our lives and he leaves us with many happy memories. He is gone but never forgotten and lives on in all that he left behind.
