Dementia Action Week 2020

Monday 11th May - Sunday 17th May is Dementia Action Week

BRACE would like to invite you to take action to help defeat dementia. You can take action in various ways, whether that’s by attending one of our events, becoming an abseiling star fundraiser, holding a ‘Cuppa for a Cure’ or simply by talking to friends about
dementia and dementia research. Every little helps.

PLEASE NOTE DEMENTIA FIGHT BACK AND THE BRACE ABSEIL ARE POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

 Dementia: Fight Back

This event is free and is taking place on Tuesday 12th May at Exeter University between 6-8pm. The guest speakers will explore ways you and your loved ones can fight back against the issues that can arise with dementia. Please click here to book tickets.

Abseil Fundraiser

BRACE is holding an abseil on Sunday 17th May in Weston Super Mare, with participants ranging in age between 20 - 87 years old. We are looking for more daredevils to abseil for dementia research! Are you as brave enough to abseil 150 feet down Uphill Quarry, Weston Super Mare? All our abseiling fundraisers are hoping to raise £200 each for dementia research.

If you fancy joining in on the fun, please call Amanda on 0117 414 4831 or email [email protected]

Cuppa for a Cure

Can you help BRACE during Dementia Action Week by hosting a ‘Cuppa for a Cure,’ at home, at work or in your local community group? Get your nearest and dearest talking about dementia and help to raise funds for dementia research over a cuppa and cake. Please go to here for more info.

There are several other ways you can support BRACE during Dementia Action Week:
  • Attend one of our events!
  • Following BRACE on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, on your posts, sharing and liking posts to help raise awareness
