Online Business Networking and Staying Safe in a Digital World
September 20 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am UTC+1£10.00
Join us online, on Thursday 20th September, 9am -10.30am for a business networking event with a difference!
Meet a unique mix of professionals from a wide range of businesses, small to large firms, freelancers and charities. By inviting people individually from across our network, we can offer you a unique mix of people, many of whom you are unlikely to have met before.
The event will start with a presentation by our guest speaker, Mark Moore:
“Staying Safe in a Digital World”: An introduction to simple cyber security for charities and small business, from a police-led centre set up to provide free support across the South West region.
Mark Moore is a serving police officer within the Devon and Cornwall force, and after many years of experience, from custody and detective roles, to major incident and firearms management, he has now been running the South West region’s Cyber Resilience Centre as a day job for almost two years. He runs the centre as a small not-for-profit business, and has had to set it up and grow it in a digitally-secure way. Mark’s goal is supporting other small businesses and charities, helping them stay safer and reducing their cyber risk.
After the talk there will be two breakout sessions in small groups – this is when the networking will really start and you will have the chance to meet a wide range of people.
After the event you will receive the names and emails of all participants to assist you in follow up with your new connections. Please let us know in advance if you do not want your name and email included in the circulated list.
The ticket price is £10. All proceeds go to dementia research, and the event itself is pure business networking.
