Together 4 Dementia Conference

BRACE has a role to engage with the public at various events throughout the year in parts of Bristol and across the South West. The annual conference plays an important role, connecting experts, professionals and families affected by dementia on the day.

Star of stage and screen, Shobna Gulati gave a moving account of her mother’s dementia from her memoirs in her book, Remember Me?: Discovering My Mother as She Lost Her Memory.

Eloy Van Hal offered insight into the much admired, Dutch Dementia Village - De Hogeweyk

Professor Clive Ballard, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of the University of Exeter on the extensive work on ways to prevent dementia, through the university’s pioneering PROTECT programme.

Lori La Bey – broadcaster on Alzheimer’s Speaks Radio, thought to be the first radio show in the world dedicated to dementia, spoke about her work, life from Minneapolis, USA.
