My mum, Sue, was a loving and caring mother, daughter, wife, sister, auntie, grandmother and friend. She had a varied life turning her hand to being a hairdresser and trichologist and a dental nurse before finding her real love as a teaching assistant. Mum started to show signs of increasing forgetfulness in 2007 at age 54. It was hard to get doctors to take this seriously and it was only after a private scan, she was diagnosed with early onset dementia. We were told she had a life expectancy of 5-7 years, however her strength and stubborn streak kept her with us for 12 years.... Mum should be remembered for her energy, bounce and endless care for others.
