Dear supporter,
Families across the UK are living through fear and exhaustion because of dementia.
Jayne Connery (Dementia Care Campaigner, Author and BRACE Ambassador) shares her mum Ellen’s moving dementia story in her new book – ‘The Long Road Back to Tipperary.’
Ellen’s story is too familiar, but BRACE is helping to change that.
Research goes beyond the lab, bringing hope, comfort and the promise of a better future to families.
Breakthroughs are happening.
Dedicated BRACE researchers are developing early dementia tests and new treatments that could make a big difference to people like Ellen.
Tests like Fastball, which could diagnose Alzheimer’s using brainwaves, and MySmile, exploring the surprising link between oral hygiene and Alzheimer’s, show what becomes possible when early-stage research gets the funding it deserves.
Despite the progress being made, by 2040, there may be as many as 1,700,000 people living with dementia in the UK.
BRACE is working harder than ever, stretching every pound further, to find a cure for dementia. But we are completely dependent on your donations.
Ellen’s story is written. But what happens next for other families depends on the choices we make today.
Please will you donate today to help us fund more vital research?
The next chapter is up to us. We can’t write it without you.
Thank you so much for your support. I hope one day we will no longer need to ask this of you.
Best wishes,
Liberty Harrison
CEO, BRACE Dementia Research
