Dementia Action Week 2026: Let's Talk Dementia
This Dementia Action Week, BRACE is focusing on the theme ‘Let’s Talk Dementia’. With almost one million people living with dementia in the UK, and many more affected as family members, friends and carers, it’s more important than ever that we open up conversations about dementia and the vital role research plays in developing better treatments and, one day, a cure.
By talking more openly about dementia, we can help raise awareness, reduce stigma and support those affected by the condition. If you have a story that you would like to share, to encourage others to talk about dementia, please get in touch.
For people living in and around the Bristol area, please join us on Saturday 23rd May at the Bristol Beacon for ‘Let’s Talk Dementia’ a one stop shop on all things dementia. The event is free, you can join at anytime between 10.30am - 4.30pm.
The fully accessible event offers attendees short talks, dementia-friendly activities and the chance to meet with a wide range of dementia experts in research, care, support and legal matters. Attendees will leave the event armed with knowledge and connections to local dementia services.
