BRACE Conference 2025

We would like to invite dementia researchers to join us at our free BRACE academic conference on Thursday 20th November, 1pm - 5pm, in Bristol.

Why attend?

The half-day conference is free to attend and offers the opportunity to meet dementia researchers, the BRACE team and to learn more about the latest research into early diagnosis, and possible causes of dementia.

BRACE PhD students are warmly invited to display posters during the event.

Location

The event is taking place in Bristol, at the BAWA Club, 589 Southmead Road. Bristol BS34 7RG.

Getting there

There is ample free parking. If you would like to travel by train the nearest station is Parkway which is 2.6 miles away. The following Bristol buses stop nearby, 2, 24 and 76.

Event agenda

1 pm Registration, refreshments, networking and PhD posters on display.

1:30 pm Welcome from CEO of BRACE, Chris Williams.

1:45 pm - 2:45 pm First Speaker – Professor Liz Coulthard, University of Bristol. Early dementia diagnosis developments, Q&As.

2:45 pm - 3:15 pm Break - refreshments and networking.

3:15 pm - 4:15 pm Second Speaker - Dr Vesna Vuksanovic, Swansea University. Brain ageing model: identifying neuroimaging patterns with relevance to neurodegeneration, Q&As.

4:15 pm - 5 pm Final words and last chance to network.
