The BRACE Trustee board welcomes a new member, Richard Higgs from Harold Stephens.

Richard becomes the twelfth member of the Board which is made up of a mix of financial, legal, business and medical experts. The Trustees are responsible for the good governance and strategic direction of the charity.

Richard is hoping his extensive experience in finance and marketing will further strengthen the Board and help the charity achieve its aims.

“My firm, Harold Stephens has supported BRACE for a number of years and the whole team is passionate about increasing dementia awareness and ensuring Bristol is a dementia friendly city. I am also extremely interested personally in dementia research and finding out what can be done to progress in this area. Dementia affects so many families, this is a cause that’s easy to get behind.

It felt like a natural progression to join BRACE as a Trustee when the opportunity arose and I can’t wait to start working with the fantastic team BRACE has in place.”

Chris Williams, Director of BRACE:

"We are thrilled to welcome Richard Higgs to the BRACE board of trustees, where he will share his fantastic knowledge and skills as a Chartered Financial Planner.

It’s an exciting time for the charity, BRACE is building its strength back after taking a knock during the pandemic. With Richard’s support and all of BRACE’s fantastic trustees, we are feeling confident that dementia research is in safe hands."
