Award-winning research and development tax credit consultancy ForrestBrown have raised over £1,300 for BRACE by organising a staff ‘spinathon’.

The ‘books, bikes and bakes’ event took place outside their office in Bristol, giving passersby the opportunity to purchase second-hand books and sample a variety of scrumptious cakes baked by the ForrestBrown team. Collectively, they managed to cycle an impressive 438 miles, almost doubling their target of 283 miles, which is the distance from Bristol to Paris.

Mark Poarch, BRACE Chief Executive said, “This was an impressive day’s work by the ForrestBrown team, who raised over £1,000 in the Bristol sunshine. It looked as if they had a great time, too, and I picked up a sense of cheerful teamwork when I visited. What a great way to help us in the fight against dementia!”

The ‘spinathon’ team were joined by ForrestBrown’s Managing Director & Founder, Simon Brown. Simon said, “Giving something back to the local community is really important to us all here at ForrestBrown. This year, the team has chosen to support BRACE and we started our fundraising efforts with a glorious day of spinning outside our offices. That each and every one of the ForrestBrown team contributed their own time to this important cause is a fantastic example of their generosity. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year will bring!”
