My Nanna sadly passed away in 2016 after being diagnosed with a strand of Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia six years earlier. She was one of the rare ones, so effortlessly herself. She had this way of always finding the good and believing in everything, despite all that she had seen. And that is what I loved the most - the pure magic of her undying hope. This disease was hard for my Nanna but also hard for the people around her who cared for her and loved her so much. It seemed we could only look on helplessly and watch the deterioration and rapid decline in the quality of my Nanna's life... BUT by fundraising and working together I am hoping to make a difference to this research and help towards the fight against this disease.

On 26th May I am going to skydive - so please donate, not only for my Nanna, but for the thousands of people that struggle with this disease each year. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. #useyourhead #divingfordementia
