Judith Couper My lovely Mum was officially diagnosed with Vascular Dementia around 3 years ago although she’d been displaying symptoms a long time before this.

As a result of living with Mum’s vascular dementia I am only too
glad and privileged to have fundraised for Alzheimer’s Brace by taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge on 28 & 29 September 2019.

Well a challenge isn’t a challenge if it’s 100% guaranteed that you’re going to do it !! I set out to climb the three highest peaks in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 in 24 hours on 28 & 29 September. The most amazing thing to have returned to is a current total of £1,002 in donations for Alzheimers-Brace.org from all my generous friends, family and colleagues. I am overwhelmed by this staggering amount, raised within just one week 😁.

It was certainly a tough boot camp approach for this weekend 💪. I’m really chuffed I managed to get to the summit of Ben Nevis in 5 hours 👍😁 it was a steep climb and the pace was fast but we enjoyed some wonderful views. The weather conditions of persistent rain & wind (and my asthma) however were against us on Saturday’s night hike up Scarfell Pike and the same again for our 7am ascent of Snowdon. My group made it 3/4 of the way up both. But we gave it our all 👍👏.

Thanks again to everyone for their generosity and support which is helping Alzheimer’s Brace continue their research into treatments & medicines for Vascular Dementia 👍 👏🌟 Judith Couper
