Support vital dementia research by taking part in the seventh Annual Nailsea Charity Walks & Runs

There are three routes - all within the local area, and all starting from, and finishing at, the Scotch Horn Centre in Nailsea:

Nailsea Charity Walks & Runs (organised by Rotary Nailsea & Backwell) is now in its seventh year and this year there is an exciting new addition to the choices available to you! As well as being able to run or walk one of the three distances – 5k, 10k or 20k – at a time of your choice, you can now take part in one of the two group walks.

There is a group walk for the 10k, starting at 10:30 am and for the 5k the group walk starts at 11am. Remember the 5k is a relatively easy fun walk – pushchair and wheelchair friendly - whilst the 10k goes into the local countryside and is intended for people who would prefer a route that is longer, and slightly more challenging.

So if you would like to meet new people, or just to take part in a group walk with other people, then sign up for one of the group walks fast! Each walk will be limited to approximately 20 people on a first come basis.

Of course, if you want to really challenge yourself choose the 20k Nailsea Challenge which is for the more experienced, who are fit and – as the name implies – like more of a challenge. (There is NO group walk for the 20k).

Remember - any of the routes can also be walked or run at a time of your choice.

There are NO group runs. Runners should note that they will not be timed, they will be “off road” over footpaths (often grass / dirt) with gates, stiles etc. and that there will be some self-navigation.”
