Join BRACE and Dementia UK for this FREE Online Event 11am Tuesday 22nd September 2020

Dementias can affect memory, thinking skills, concentration and communication and in stressful times – such as lock down and isolation - these can escalate into more difficult behaviours such as increased agitation, restlessness, night-time waking, sleep disturbance, aggression, delusions and hallucinations which will then have an impact on the wellbeing of the person with dementia and their relatives or carers.

If you are caring for someone who’s showing these behaviours, it’s important to try to understand why this is happening and what we can do to help support all concerned.

Admiral Nurses, Jakki Whitehead & Chrissy Hussey have over 20 years’ experience of caring for those living with dementia between them and have encountered many different types of behaviour, although are still surprised to find new behaviour at times!

Jakki works in a nursing home in Bristol and Chrissie visits people in the hospice community and will give a brief presentation on the strategies they employ to help people - followed by your questions and answers.

The event will take place online, on Zoom. It is a free event but request you kindly consider a donation – which will be split between the two charities, BRACE and Dementia UK.

We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
