Registered Charity No. 297965

BRACE (Bristol Research into Alzheimer's and Care of the Elderly) is a registered charity (No. 297965) established in 1987 to finance research into conditions of the elderly, particularly Alzheimer's Disease. We support research projects undertaken in universities and hospitals in the South West of the UK, particularly in Bristol, which is a centre of excellence for neuroscience research.
BRACE has raised over £10 million to help support diverse research projects into all aspects of dementia. On average we are supporting 15 researchers at any one time from PhD students to Senior Research Fellows. Read more about what we support.
BRACE is one of only a few charities that exists specifically to finance dementia research - this work is vital if future generations are to be free from the fear of this devastating illness. Read more about the prevalence of Alzheimer's.
BRACE - a support in times of strain
An anchor in the storm
When life is giving so much pain
And hopes are tossed and torn.

Keep giving help to those in need
Give strength to those who care
The loving touch, the kindly deed
And now and then, a prayer.
Keep up the good work, carry on
Keep searching day to day.
Your efforts will bring peace of mind
For you'll have found the way.
