Golfers' Christmas Cheer for BRACE
Kendleshire Golf Club gave BRACE a very welcome Christmas gift - a cheque for £5,750.
When Simon Emery became Club Captain a year ago, he chose BRACE as his charity of the year. Simon said, "Throughout my year as Captain we have been raising money for BRACE. Our two major events were the Captain’s Day and the Summer Ball, both held on 4th July, and together they raised over £3,600. My thanks to the following organisations for their great support at these events - Andalusia Golf, Audi (Bristol), Rolls Royce and Tony Mealing our golf professional. Also my thanks to the many local companies, shops and organisations that gave me their support to make it such a great day. Throughout the year we raised £5,750 which was down to the generosity of the golfing members at the Kendleshire."
Mark Poarch, Chief Executive of BRACE, added, "£5,750 is an excellent total and it looks as if club members enjoyed themselves achieving it! This is a wonderful way for clubs and societies to make a difference to a charity like ours and I would like to thank the Kendleshire members for all that they have done over the past year."
