Sail on The Matthew

	The Matthew

As soon as this event had been advertised, the BRACE Appeal Office received many calls from people wishing to take advantage of the opportunity to sail on board The Matthew.

The conditions on the day of the sailing couldn't have been better. The sky was a seamless blue and the water so still that once under way, with Rob Salvidge as our skipper, the Matthew glided effortlessly through the harbour. You certainly get a different view of the city from the harbour and because of the sunshine everything was looking at its best and had brought many people out to take advantage of such a lovely day.

Halfway through the trip we docked alongside the Pump House. The crew collected our lunch from a local fish and chip shop nearby and peace descended on the Matthew as everyone tucked in!
We then enjoyed the return trip sailing through the harbour, passing Millennium Square and on towards Pero's Bridge, finally returning to the Matthew's mooring and the end of our trip.
